Bass Pro Shops Outdoor Academy Manager

Position Summary:
The Bass Pro Shops Outdoor Academy Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the Outdoor Academy, including but not limited to: Shooting Range, Retail and Firearm Sales, Venue Events, Food and Beverage, Property Management, and other initiatives to be determined. The position’s ultimate goal is to create an experience that is safe, fun, and memorable for all guests.
The role requires an outgoing personality and strong interpersonal skills. Successful candidates will be driven, detail oriented, professional, possess a positive attitude and strong work ethic, with focused commitment to provide superior customer service and operate with integrity in all their dealings.
Position Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day operations of the facility, grounds, and range
• Plan and coordinate Outdoor Academy events and tournaments
• Instruct guests on shooting safety and technique
• Build and maintain brand standard while developing new offerings for guests
• Assist in Marketing and Public Relations efforts for the Outdoor Academy and related property
• Drive revenue and sales numbers
• Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant work experience
• Hospitality and/or Shooting Club management experience strongly preferred
• Prior shooting event and/or tournament planning, organizing and hosting is strongly desired
• Food and beverage experience is a plus
• Strong leadership experience and skills to communicate and work effectively with all levels of the organization
• Courteous, professional, and positive attitude
• Excellent time management and organizational skills as well as having the ability to meet deadlines
• A sense of urgency and commitment to excellence
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating impeccable discretion and sound judgment
• Self-motivated
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive in identifying and solving problems
• A genuine belief in continuous improvement with a willingness to analyze, challenge, and change processes, if needed
• Flexible in the face of shifting priorities
• Proficient in MS Office applications
