We regret to report that Al Anglace, founder of Connecticut Travelers Sporting Clays, has passed away.
In June, 1987, Al Anglace and six friends started a monthly shoot that grew into the Connecticut Travelers Sporting Clays Association, a club that now has over 500 members and a mission to support sporting clays.
Al was a stalwart of the sport, a community leader, and a major influence on the Connecticut Travelers as well as the sport of sporting clays. Hundreds of young people and ladies are shooting today because they got a chance to shoot with the Travelers, thanks to Al’s emphasis on bringing juniors and women into the sport.
