National Class Ranking Calculations

In all classes, points from both event sizes (>=100 entries or <100) are added together, and that total becomes TOTAL WINS. (The method of calculating these points is outlined below.)

Note: The target total is not used in any calculations; it is only available as a “reference.”

Calculations

Points are awarded based on rank of score in the start of the year class, not current class.
Only events with 10 or more shooters qualify for National Ranking.

For events of more than 100 total entries

Top score and all ties receive 4 points x total number shooters in class at the event*
2nd high score and all ties receive 3 points x total number shooters in class at the event*
3rd high score and all ties receive 2 points x total number shooters in class at the event*
4th high score and all ties receive 1 point x total number shooters in class at the event*

For events with less than 100 total entries

Top score and all ties receive 3 points x total number shooters in class at the event*
2nd high score and all ties receive 2 points x total number shooters in class at the event*
3rd high score and all ties receive 1 point x total number shooters in class at the event*

* This is the actual number of shooters participating at the shoot currently in your starting class, not those in your current class nor those with the same starting class. If your starting class for the year was D class, and there were no shooters currently in D class participating in the event, no points will be awarded.
